Dear Market Goers,
Mark Fedor, Best winemaker in Loudoun County!
We have some great news about one of our vendors! North Gate been working hard to open their brand new tasting room, and let me tell you, this is some special tasting room! This Saturday is opeening day so after you come to the market (of course) head North on Hillsboro Road and between the market and Hillsboro, you’ll see the sign for North Gate (16031 Hillsboro Road). They are open from 11am to 6pm. From then on, they will be open the same hours Fridays thru Mondays. Their 2009 Petit Verdot will also be released in conjunction with the opening. Not only is the tasting room a thing of beauty, it is built to LEED silver standards and is already generating energy to feed back to the grid with its rooftop solar panels!! Check out updates and photos on their facebook page North Gate Vineyard. Congratulations Mark and Vicki!!
And don’t forget that Lothar’s Gourmet Sausages has a store at their house where you can get Lothar the Great’s sausages when the market isn’t open. Check out their facebook page too for more information and hours of operation.
Thank you to Linna Ferguson, aka Linna the Locavore, for coming to the market last week to talk with our vendors about square foot gardening! Don’t forget her gardening tips farther down in the newsletter.

Dear Valued Customers and Friends of Good Taste,
The Stifler Family of What’s for Dinner Now will be bringing their delicous, all-natural, pasture-raised, grain-finished beef (www.whatsfordinnernow.com). Here’s a message from Joyce:
The third generation of Stifler farmers – Josh and Heather – will be taking care of the natural beef sales for Whats For Dinner Now this Saturday, March 12th. They’ve agreed to help out this week so that Mom & Dad can skip off to Florida for the week to visit the grandparents. Stop by and make your selection from our variety of steaks, roasts, burgers, ribs, sausage and more. Our angus beef is farm raised and is never fed growth hormones or antibiotics. Natural beef is not only a healthy choice, but its oh so flavorful. Buy plenty to last for two weeks because we’re going to take a break and won’t be at the market on March 19th. But, we’ll be back in business for the March 26th market. Thank you for your business!
